Questions and AnswersQ. Who can take Mag365 Magnesium Supplement?
A. Anyone can take Mag365 unless you have very weak kidneys at which time you should consult a doctor.

Q. Who cannot take Mag365?
A. There are a very few select group of people who, when they take magnesium orally, will experience some light diarrhoea no matter what their dose is. For them, we recommend the Magnesium Rub applied to their skin, thus obtaining the magnesium they need transdermally.

Q. How fast does Mag365 Supplement take to begin working?
A. If taken on an empty stomach, you will start to notice the effects within 20 minutes, with more energy, plus the ability to relax better and have less anxiety.

Q. Should I consult a doctor?
A. The correct answer is that you should always consult your doctor first. However, most doctors get very little training in nutrition and are trained more in the area of pharmaceutical drugs. Mag365 is NOT a drug!

Q. Are there any side effects?
A. If you take too much, you body eliminates the excess into your colon and you will experience some light diarrhoea (i.e. the runs).

Q. Will Mag365 cure my insomnia?
A. Most people find that they get a better night sleep with the intake of Mag365. This is due to their ability to relax and the relaxing helps them fall asleep.

Q. Will I fall asleep on the job or while driving?
A. Mag365 is not a drug and is considered a food supplement. It will give you extra energy, help you relax, and does not drug you into a sleep. So no, it will not affect your performance while on your job.

Q. What are the main conditions that cause magnesium deficiency?
A. The more active you are, the more you think and the more stress you are under, the more magnesium your body requires. Our foods have 30% less magnesium in them than 30 years ago and processing our foods (purchasing processed foods as an example) deplete the magnesium.

Q. Can I get too much magnesium?
A. You can’t get too much from a toxicity point of view. If you do get too much, then your body eliminates the excess and you will experience diarrhoea. You can get too much calcium and your body will store the excess as kidney stones, bone spurs, calcium in the joints and even cataracts. Magnesium will help to dissolve the excess magnesium.

Q. Can I get a test from my doctor to check my magnesium levels?
A. Yes you can, but it is not really accurate and here is why: the magnesium in your body is in your bones (50%), cells and soft tissue (49%) and your blood (1%.) It is critical that your blood has the exact amount of magnesium it needs and your body will pull it from your muscles and bones to put into your blood. It is similar to your body temperature; your body works hard (shivering and sweating) to keep your body at an exact temperature. So if your blood test shows you are low, then you are really low. The best way to tell if you are deficient is by the symptoms of magnesium deficiency. Two more scientific ways are through live blood analysis and hair analysis.

Q. How long do I have to take if for?
A. Some people take it for 3-24 months to build up their storage of magnesium. Most people with their SAD (Standard American Diet) diet will never obtain enough magnesium and therefore will benefit from supplementing with Mag365 on a regular basis.

Q. Can I get enough magnesium through foods?
A. Yes you could, if you eat lots of greens, seeds and nuts (see chart.) Try and eat your greens in a raw or steamed form so that the magnium doess not end p in your cooking water.
You would need 30-50% more greens today than you did 30 years ago in order to obtain a sufficient amount of magnesium.

Q. What is the source of the magnesium citrate? What are the raw materials or ingredients contained in the magnesium citrate?
A. There are two ingredients; magnesium carbonate made from sea water and citric acid made from sugar beets. The two are blended together in a proprietary blend. When hot water is added, the two ingredients combine to make magnesium citrate.

Q. How do I have to prepare Mag365?
A. Mag365 needs boiling hot water to activate it. Many people only use hot water, but the hotter, the better. The hot water activates the powder and puts the magnesium in an ionic form that enables almost 100% absorption (also called bioavailability).

Q. I live in a place that is very hot. Do I have to drink it as a hot beverage?
A. No - put the Mag365 powder in a cup and add one ounce of boiling water. After it finishes efflorescing (fizzing), then add cold water.

Q. I don't like the taste, what can I do?

1. Dissolve in one ounce of boiling water, add one ounce of cold water and chug it down fast.

2. Make your calm drink and then throw in a tea bag to flavor it.

3. Mix it with some juice.

4. Add some flavor crystals to it.

Q. It works great and I need it to sleep every night. Can I develop a dependency on this product?

A. No - Mag365 is a magnesium mineral. We have 4 main minerals called electrolytes; Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Sodium, that are essential for our bodies to exist. They are part of our food and you cannot get chemically dependent on a food.

Q. Are there any side effects?
A. If you consume too much your stools will become loose. This is because the excess magnesium goes to the colon and causes it to hydrate. Most laxatives are made from a form of magnesium.

Q. I don't seem to be able to take a teaspoon without having loose stools. What can I do?
A. We have some customers who take 2 tablespoons at a time. They had to start out with a lower dose and slowly increase. The other thing you can do is divide the dosage; ½ in the morning and ½ before bed time.

Q. What quality measure or safe manufacturing standards do you adhere to?
A. We manufacture our MAG365 in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) facility that gets audited yearly by a third party auditor to ensure they are in compliance with the current rules and regulations.  As well, we test each of our batches to ensure that we are offering our customers the high quality products we promise them.  We also periodically have a third party company test our products.

Q. Every time I use magnesium my stools are loose, no matter the amount (pinch or spoonful). What is the solution to this?

A. Few people just cannot use oral magnesium, no matter how it is introduced. There is an easy solution to this question in order for you to fully benefit from our Mag365: Our Magnesium Rub and Gel, which is absorbed through the skin, is the recommended alternate choice.

Q. If you use Magnesium Rub on a regular basis, how much calcium do you need to consume to maintain the proper balance of these minerals? What form of calcium is best to take?
A. Current research shows that we should have a calcium to magnesium ratio of 2 to 1. Because we tend to get more calcium in our diets than magnesium, Carolyn Dean, author of The Magnesium Miracle, believes the optimum level is 1,000 mg of calcium and 600 mg of magnesium. Researcher, Peter Gillham, believes that because we tend to get more calcium in our diets, and little magnesium, that we should supplement with a 3:2 magnesium to calcium ratio. Our bones need a 2:1 calcium to magnesium ratio, but our brains
and heart need less calcium and more magnesium to function. He suggested a ratio of 3:2 (magnesium : calcium) would be an optimal calcium magnesium supplement.

If your diet has a lot of calcium, and you take a calcium supplement, the supplement will rob you of your magnesium because calcium needs magnesium to be absorbed. If you get too much calcium, it will end up as calcium deposits in your joints and other parts of your body. If you get too much magnesium, it just gets eliminated though the colon in the form of loose stools. So it is better to over supplement magnesium than calcium.

For a calcium supplement, we suggest our product MAG365 BF plus Calcium. It has a 3:2 ratio of calcium to magnesium. It also has vitamin D3, C and potassium which are all necessary to absorb the calcium. Without the D3 and the magnesium, your bones will not assimilate the calcium. We also believe that taking the oral magnesium with the oral calcium and other nutrients at the same time, will assist the absorption.

Q. I'm allergic to corn and anything derived from it. Is the magnesium citrate in the Mag365 derived from corn? If not, from where is it derived?
A. The magnesium is derived from sea water. The other ingredient is citric acid made from sugar beets.

Q. Can I mix Kid's Mag365 with juice instead of water?
A. Yes you can mix it with your kid’s juice, but you have to activate it first.
Put the amount you normally use for your child (or as per instructions on the bottle) into a mug and then add 30ml of boiling water, wait till the efflorescence (fizzing) stops and the powder has dissolved. Then add this to your child’s juice.

Q. Is the MAG365 BF plus Calcium product is enough calcium for a woman in her early 50's?

A. Our personal opinion is that we get enough calcium in our diets. In order to absorb that calcium, we need magnesium and D3. One female doctor, who buys our Mag365, but not our MAG365 BF plus Calcium told me she believes that a calcium deficiency is really a D3 deficiency.

Your bones are 2:1 calcium to magnesium ratio. Our foods have 30% less magnesium than 30 years ago. We don’t drink well-water anymore either. Your brain and heart require more magnesium than calcium. When you cook your greens, your magnesium goes in the water. Processed food don’t have much magnesium. Calcium, on the other hand is more plentiful. The countries that consume the most dairy, Finland being first and the US second, also have the highest incidence of osteoporosis.

So we came up with MAG365 BF plus Calcium which also has D3, vitamin C and Potassium for bone formation with a 3:2 magnesium to calcium ratio.

We also have a product called CalMag which is a 2:1 ratio of Calcium to Magnesium for those who believe they need more calcium.

Q. I purchased your magnesium supplement only last week. I used it for the first time yesterday hoping to achieve the results listed; number 1 being insomnia. I have to say, "I DIDN'T sleep a wink all night!" Will it take a while for it to 'agree' with my system or will I have to take stronger doses? I really was/am expecting much better results.
Am I the few it may not work for? I read the MANY reviews on it's 'great ability' to help people sleep. Maybe I need to give it time to do it's work.
A. Magnesium is necessary for over 300 body processes and here are two of those processes:

1. Energy – it is needed to transport energy from cell to cell. Without magnesium, you have low or no energy.

2. Relaxation – it is needed to relax your body. Every time your muscles contract, it uses calcium. When they relax it use magnesium. If I yelled “Fire, fire” or there was some wild animal confronting you, calcium would enter your cells and you would have a 'fight or flight' situation. When the danger passes, then the calcium would leave your cells and the magnesium would enter them. If you did not have sufficient magnesium in your body, then you would stay in that anxious state of 'fight or flight.'

A small percentage of people find that magnesium keeps them awake at night, if they take it before bed. We suggest to those customers, to take it in the morning. If you are really depleted in magnesium, then it could take awhile to get your levels up and find the results you are looking for. Your heart and brain use a lot of magnesium. Stress, thinking a lot, and physical activity all use up magnesium so you may not have enough to help you relax.

We recommend you do two things:

1. Take the magnesium first thing in the morning.

2. Keep increasing your dose until your stools start to become loose, then back off a little. Then you are at the point where you are giving your body all it can use.
